The Semester has Come to an End: Things that I would like to be Known

This semester has been one crazy ride. Let's examine the (mostly) good, the bad and the ugly of English class together...

What was the work load like?

I can only speak to personal experience when it come to work load in the class, and it was not too bad for me. Of course, for the sake of the people taking 12 AP English everywhere else, I would not say that we need more work on top of the already given work load, but when I thought of 12 AP compared to the work I was put through in 11 AP I remember thinking, "How can there be more work than this next year?!" So in general I would say keep the work load the same.

Favorite Assignment?

My favorite assignment may have been the trial we had for Oedipus Rex. I remember preparing for my statements and listening to everyone else debating about fate vs. freewill with much fervor, excited to hear what my codefendants were going to say next. I remember hearing Mrs. Knudson pitch the project and thinking that it was going to be boring, but when push came to shove, it was one of my favorites.

I Choice Reading the Choice I would Make?

YES! I don't think anyone would complain about having a choice of what to read. I would much rather read a book that I think I would like and blame myself for picking it if I don't enjoy it, then reading a book that is forced upon me by an English teacher's free will (no offense to any English teachers reading please).

Blogging? Yes or No?

I found that later in the semester I started to enjoy blogging more and more. I think I found my grove in blogging when I figured that it is good to have fun with them and not treat them as a formal essay. When someone blogs they have to have a personality or else blogging seems like work, not fun. When I do my blogs I know I try to be as honest as possible and try not to use the diction of an Merriam Webster Dictionary, and that is always going to be fun in my opinion.
